Tempat-Tempat Menarik Di Singapura


Cuti-cuti sekolah ni dah ramai yang bercuti untuk berjalan-jalan makan angin. Saya yang cuti panjang ni masih belum berjalan ke mana-mana. Cuma hujung minggu ni kami bercadang ingin ke Kota Singa dan melewati Johor.... Nih my assignment my hubby bagi dah lama tapi hari ni baru terhegeh-hegeh nak google. Ada beberapa info menarik yang dah dapat but more more info masih tak dapat google.. Kredit to Pak Budi.

Kampung Arab (Arab Street/Kampong Glam)
Terletak di North Bridge Road. Di daerah ini terletak Masjid Sultan (Sultan Mosque) dan Malay Heritage Centre. Cara  ke sana: MRT stesen Bugis.

China Town
Tempat menarik: Kuil Thian Hock Keng,  Pura Sri Mariamman, Smith Street Wet Market, Food Street. Cara ke sana: MRT stasion Chinatown atau Outram Park.
Little India
Terletak sepanjang Serangoon Road. Tempat menarik: Masjid Abdul Gafoor, Kuil dan Pura. Cara ke sana: MRT stasion Little India dan Farrer Park.
Katong
Terletak di East Coast Road dan joo Chiat Road, tempat jajanan makanan yang menarik dari pelbagai tempat. Cara ke sana: MRT stesen Paya Lebar atau Eunos.

City Hall dan Padang
Terletak di antara Connaught Drive dan St. Andrew’s Road. Lapangan luas tempat bersejarah berdirinya negara Singapore. Cara ke sana: MRT terdekat stesen City Hall.


Bideford Junction Crosswalk
Terletak di daerah Orchard, antara Paragon, Park Hotel at Orchard, Meritus Mandarin Hotel dan Ngee Ann City. Setiap hari mulai pk 19.30, setiap 30 menit lalu lintas di Bideford Junction akan berhenti selama satu menit. Selama waktu ini, daerah itu disirami oleh empat skenario tata cahaya yang mempesona, yaitu: “Singapura Kota Taman”, “Berjalan Di Air”, “Aurora (Cahaya Kutub Utara)” dan “Langit Malam Berbintang”. Cara ke sana: Stasion MRT Orchard.

Carlsberg Sky Tower
Terletak di sebelah cable car ke pulau Sentosa. Carlsberg Sky Tower memberikan pemandangan ke seluruh kota Singapura, Sentosa, Southern Islands bahkan Malaysia dan Batam dari ketinggian 130 meter. Tiket masuk S$10/ dewasa dan S$6  (Anak 12 tahun ke bawah).

DHL Balloon
Terletak di Tan Quee Lan Street, Bugis. Belon ini merupakan salah satu yang terbesar di dunia. Belon ini dapat membawa 29 penumpang dan terbang sampai ke ketinggian 150 m, untuk menyingkap sebuah pemandangan kota yang mempesona seluas 360 darjah. Selama 7 – 10 minit, kita akan terbang melihat seluruh pelosok kota. Jam Buka Senin s/d Minggu: 11.00 s/d 21:30. Tiket masuk: Dewasa SGD23, anak-anak SGD13 (3 – 12 th), Anak-anak di bawah 3 tahun SGD2.
Cara ke sana: Naik MRT dan turun di stasiun Bugis (EW12) lalu berjalan ke tanah lapang di samping 7th Storey Hotel.

 G-Max Reverse Bungy
Bungy pertama di Singapura. Jam buka Senin s/d Kamis: 3 siang s/d 1 pagi. Tiket masuk $40 per orang.
Lokasi di Clarke Quay, River Valley Road. Cara ke sana: Naiklah MRT lalu turun di stasiun Clarke Quay, keluar di Eu Tong Sen Street lalu belok kiri dan menyeberangi Coleman Bridge.


Singapore City Gallery
Ruang pamer arsitektur negara Singapore dalam bentuk miniatur. Ada sekitar 50 pameran yang dapat dicoba dan terminal layar-sentuh, galeri ini menjanjikan sebuah pengalaman yang seru dan membuka wawasan kita tentang pertumbuhan Singapore. 
Jam Buka: 9.00 – 17.00 (Senin s/d Sabtu), Hari Minggu dan hari libur umum tutup. Tiket Masuk: Gratis.
Lokasi : The URA Centre, Maxwell Road. Cara ke Sana: Naiklah MRT turun di Tanjong Pagar Station (EW 15).

Singapore Flyer (Kincir Angin)
Terletak di Marina Bay, dengan diameter roda hingga ketinggian 165 meter. Kita dapat menyaksikan pemandangan Singapura, seperti  Marina Bay, Gedung Esplanade, Pulau Batam, dll.
Jam buka setiap hari dari pk. 8:30 s/d 22:30. Lokasi di Raffles Avenue. Cara ke sana: Naik MRT ke Stasion City Hall, jalan kaki ke arah Marina Bay.

Singapore Science Centre
Singapore Science Centre memiliki sekitar 850 lebih wahana interaktif yang menggambarkan keajaiban dan keindahan ilmu pengetahuan. Selain itu ada juga Kinetic Garden yaitu taman iptek interaktif luar-ruang pertama di Asia. Selain galeri pertunjukan utama, Omni-Theatre merupakan biskop dan dilengkapi Virtual Voyages Simulation Theatre dengan 18 kursi, tempat para penonton mengalami fenomena iptek secara visual sekaligus fisik, dengan sebuah kisah petualangan selama 15 menit. 

Jam Buka : Setiap hari dan hari libur sekolah, kecuali Senin. Antara jam 10.00 pagi sampai 18.00 sore.
Tiket Masuk: Dewasa SGD 6, anak-anak (di bawah 16 tahun) SGD 3, lansia SGD 3.60. Pertunjukan Film Omnimax: Dewasa SGD 10, anak-anak (3 sampai 12 tahun) SGD 5, lansia SGD 7. Film IMAX DMR: SGD 12 per orang (hari kerja), SGD 15 per orang (akhir pekan/hari libur umum).

Lokasi: Science Centre Road, Jurong East. Cara ke sana: Naik MRT ke Jurong East Station (EW24/NS1) lalu naik bis SBS nomor 335.

Ski 360°
 Ski kabel (atau main ski tapi pakai kabel) adalah ski air yang ditarik oleh sebuah kabel di atas. Kecepatan laju kabel tersebut sama sekitar 58 kilometer perjam (sama seperti kecepatan speed boat).
Jam buka: Senin – Jumat: 10.00 s/d 22.00. Sabtu, Minggu, Hari Libur: 9.00 s/d 22.00.
Lokasi: East Coast Parkway Singapore. Cara ke sana: Dengan Bis: 401 dari Bedok Interchange.  

Song of The Sea.
Berlokasi di laut pulau Santosa, pertunjukan ini menampilkan permainan api, laser, jet air, ledakan lidah api dan pencitraan komputer dilengkapi dengan lagu-lagu.
Jam Buka: Setiap malam, 19:40 dan 20:40.
Tiket Masuk: SGD 6 (dewasa / anak-anak).
Lokasi: Beach Station. P. Santosa


Dear friends, kalau korang pernah jenjalan ke sana, boleh kongsikan bersama di sini...Sambil Liza google2, bleh dpt info drp kawan2 :

1. Kami akan bertolak 25 Dec (Sabtu) dan balik pada 28 Dec (Selasa).
2. Transportation : Kereta ke Johor dan public transport ke Singapura.
2. Kami peruntukkan 2 hari max ke Singapura and the rest akan berada di Kota Tinggi dan JB.
3. One MUST place to go ialah USS.
4. Yang lain belum pasti sebab tak tau jalan. 


Benda ni berlegar-legar di minda,
1. Dari Johor ke USS naik apa? Tune Hotel JB (Call : 0133861001) ada offer shuttle bus ke USS, sangat murah tapi belum decide dgn my hubby.

2. Kalau naik bas dari Johor, berhenti kt town, but then camna nak access ke Universal Studio? Berhenti kat stesen apa?

3. Apa tempat-tempat menarik yang dekat-dekat antara satu sama lain, so that boleh cover percutian dalam satu hari jer...

Percutian kami ni dikira budget destination. Walau budget sikit, masih nak berjalan. Yang penting ingin mengambil pengalaman, biar luas pandangan...

Take bus ride from JB. Stop at the nearest MRT station in singapore. For ur informaton most part in Singapore are accesible by MRT. If u are planing go to USS, they provide shutle bus from MRT station (forget which MRT station) to sentosa island where USS is located.Have a good journey there:)

meh nak cerita sikit tentang travel ke USS by public transport ye..

klu naik bas dari JB ke sana, ayu tak sure berhenti kat mana..tapi , klu dari kl ke singapore akan stop kat golden mile complex.. situ naik cab mmg senang..tapi, agak mahal la juga..

so, better naik MRT..cari MRT terdekat.. so, tuju ke arah Harbourfront.. dari Harbourfront plak, berjalan sikit ke Vivocity Mall n naik Sentosa Ekspress untuk ke USS , turun kat Resort world.. Sentosa ekspress ni pergi 3 tempat je, Resort World (USS), Imbiah Lookout & Beach..


kalau nak jalan2 ke tempat lain plak, ayu cdgkan ke Arab Street n Bugis Street.. AS mmg syurga kain pasang..mmg murah2 gak..BS plak ala2 Petaling Street, so souveniar kat sana mmg murah2.. tak pergi Orchard Road n Geylang, tapi kawan2 yg pergi pun kata kat sana mmg murah..

juz sedikit nasihat daripada ayu, kalau nak bertanya direction, dapat cari org melayu lagila bagus daripada cari org cina singapore..diaorg tak frendly..& agak sombong...

detail ttg apa yg menarik di USS, liza boleh tengok kat blog ayu ye...enjoy betul2 kat sana ye dear..mmg best sgt222222222.... harap2 liza boleh sampai awal pagi (buka pukul 10 supaya boleh lama lagi di sana..)

Wawa, kalau nak p time cuti, kena ptrepare awal2 tiket USS (kalau nak masuk la) sbb mmg chinese new year ramai org... Better beli dr 3 bulan awal la... bab selamat ke tak, kena sentiasa hati2, kat mana2 pun ada risikonya..

12hb nov ni nak g singapore..ni la first time g sana pastu pegi pulak ramai lebih kurang 70 orng...untuk panduan kepada sesiapa yg berminat: kalau ramai2 x perlu masuk pakai passport, buat je pas beramai2, mak. 20 orng, min. 5 orng.(boleh panggil peg.emigresen ke tempat sendiri untuk proses pas tu)...nak save budget tidur kat tune hotel ( fix rate rm90 semalam ..satu bilik 2 orng)..esoknya pagi2 baru ke singapore...

Why There Is No Change in Temperature During Melting? Yong

One experiment has been carried out to investigate the specific heat capacity and latent heat of water during heating process. The students observed that the temperature is kept constant during phase change, whereby the temperature showed 0 celcius for a few minutes until all the ice melted. They thought that something went wrong in their experiment. So they asked me. These are my explanation :

During the phase change of a solution, it is the ice that is undergoing the phase change. When a phase change occurs, as in the melting of a solid, the thermal energy goes into separating the molecules, "breaking the intermolecular attractions", so to speak, (hydrogen bonds, in the case of water), and not into changing the temperature of the solution. That is why the temperature constant at melting as well as boiling. The energy is used to weaken the molecular bond, has to work against the atmospheric pressure and used to separate the intermolecular bond between the solvent.

Why Alternating Current Is Used in Transformer, not Direct Current? : Haris Fikri

One student asked why ac is used in trandformer, not direct current? Actually, we can ask how does transformer work? Ron Kurtus explained inFeb 2009 as :

A transformer is an electrical device that is used to change the voltage in alternating current (AC) electrical circuits.

The fact that the potential energy can be readily changed from one voltage to another through the use of a transformer is a major advantage of AC electricity over direct current (DC). AC transformers can change power line high voltages to house current voltage. They also are used to change the voltage from house current to that used by low voltage devices. Often the AC in these small transformers or adapters is also changed to DC.

Basic principles of transformers

A transformer combines several major characteristics of electricity and magnetism to change AC voltages. First of all, you need to know the principles for creating an electromagnet and creating electricity.

Creating an electromagnet

A wire with DC electric current flowing through it has a magnetic field around it. Placing a compass near a wire and observing the needle move when the DC current is turned on can demonstrate this.
By wrapping the wire around a piece of iron, the magnetic field is increased many times due to the realignment of the iron atoms, each which acts as a tiny magnet. The iron core and wire wrapping is called an electromagnet.

Relation to voltage

The greater the current through the wire the greater the strength of the electromagnetic field. Since voltage and current are proportional for a given resistance, according to Ohm's Law V = IR, the strength of the electromagnetic field is proportional to the voltage used. Double the voltage and you double the strength of the electromagnet.

Relation to turns of wire

The greater the number of turns around the iron core the greater the strength of the electromagnet. The strength is approximately proportional to the number of turns. Triple the number of turns and you triple the strength of the electromagnet.(Experiment idea: measure the change of strength of an electromagnet by changing the voltage and/or number of turns.)

Direction of magnetism

The direction of the magnetic field is determined by the direction of the current and the direction of the turns around the iron core. If you change the direction of the current, the north and south poles of the electromagnet will switch.
With DC electricity, you must physically change the wires to change the direction of the current. With AC electricity, the direction changes with each cycle.
Thus, one end of an AC electromagnet is switching from north to south and back again 60 times per second in the U.S. or 50 times per second in some other countries.

Creating electricity

Electricity is created either when a wire is moved through a magnetic field or when a magnetic field is moved past a wire. Moving the magnetic field past the wire can be done by physically moving a magnet past the wire or by somehow changing the amount of the magnetic field.

Transforming the voltage

To transform or change the voltage of AC electricity, you use an AC electromagnet and the principles described above.

AC electromagnet

An AC electromagnet continually changes the direction of its magnetic field. This means the field goes from zero to N to zero to S and so on. If you would put an AC electromagnet near a wire, then the changing magnetic field should create a current in the wire.
Or better yet, why not wrap the wire around the iron core of the electromagnet? This is how a transformer works.

Transformer

A transformer can be a long piece of iron with wire having with AC current going through it and wrapped around the piece of iron near one end. It also has wire that creates electrical current wrapped around it at the other end. A more common configuration is a square or donut shaped iron core with the wire wrapping on both sides.

Output proportional to turns

The strength of the magnetic field is proportion to the input voltage and the number of turns around the core (called the primary coil). By reversing the rule, the output voltage is proportional to the strength of the changing magnetic field and the number of turns (called the secondary coil).
For example, if you wanted to increase your house voltage from 110 volts (110V) to 220V in order to power your electric stove, you could use a transformer with twice the turns in the secondary coil as in the primary coil.
